Our corporate headquarters is located in Wixom, Michigan and includes sales, customer service, applications engineering and warehousing. Our ISO9001 certified manufacturing facility is located in Razlog, Bulgaria in Eastern Europe. We have been building magnetic heads and electronic assemblies there since 1972. The history tree of the company links it to such leading magnetic head designers and manufacturers as Vikron, Nortronics and MEC. Being sister companies at a time, their designs, technology and experience were transferred to Magnetic Head Technologies (Bulgaria).
Our corporate capabilities include the following areas: design and manufacturing of magnetic head assemblies, contract manufacturing of electronic assemblies, plastic injection molding, chemical etching, metal stamping, precision metal machining, heat treating, plasma ceramic coating and measurement and testing laboratories.
We manufacture magnetic heads for three basic product types: magnetic stripe, magnetic ink (MICR) and magnetic tape. These heads are used in a wide variety of applications including (but not limited to): card readers, airline ticketing, access control, tollway/transportation, check readers, currency validators, audio, advanced photo systems (APS) and medical monitors.
With outsourcing becoming a necessity in the market place today, we have expanded our electronic contract manufacturing business area. By providing value-added services such as wire harness assembly, pcb assembly and full box build assembly, we have provided our customers with 'one stop shopping'.
